My Story
As stated before, my name is Cody Ewing and I attend Texas A&M University at the Mays Business School. I am specifically from Richmond, Texas (Near Houston) and live with my mom, dad, and two puppies. In high school I ran cross country & track, and participated as my school's mascot at football games. Since going to college, I have stopped running, but I have picked up skateboarding instead. I enjoy hanging out with friends and helping out with my church.
Originally, my plan was to run track in college. In this case I would go to Wayland Baptist, in Lubbock. But after my senior year and a couple injuries, I ended up deciding to not continue running. This lead to my decision to go to Texas A&M! I always knew A&M was a great school, and I had many older friends who went there. I visited the campus several times, and even attended the SLOT conference my junior year. After getting accepted early on in the admission process, my decision was set and I didn't apply to any other universities.
Business is something very important to me and my family. My dad is the owner of a small business, developing websites (in fact, I built this website using his system!) Therefore, I knew pursuing a business degree would be the best thing for me, as I am interested in entrepreneurship. So that's how I ended up at Mays and it has been history ever since. Freshman Business Initiative made my freshman year really fun, and I really enjoyed making & presenting a company. I have learned a lot in economics, and have developed my Excel skills in Information Systems. Now it's onto my management classes...
